How I Reached $10,000 in TikTok Shop Income in Only 22 Days

I still remember the sound of “kaching kaching kaching” echoing in my ears as I realized the potential of TikTok Shop income. It was such a peculiar sound that made me curious. I rushed to check my phone, and to my astonishment, I saw notifications flooding in—sales notifications. “You have an order!” “You have an order!” It felt surreal. Hi there! Welcome to another episode, where we dive deep into how to create passive income online. If you’re here, I bet you want to know how I pulled off making five-figure months through TikTok Shop income. Let’s get started!

We strongly recommend that you check out our guide on how to take advantage of AI in today’s passive income economy.

Finding the Right Product

The first step in my journey was discovering a trending product within an evergreen niche. But it wasn’t just about choosing any product; I focused on finding one that solved a significant problem for my potential customers. When selecting your product, ensure it meets at least two or three key characteristics—preferably all of them. After narrowing down my options, I dedicated time to building a target audience specifically for that product.

Identifying My Target Audience

A crucial aspect of my strategy was identifying a unique lane to market my product that hadn’t been saturated yet. For example, if I decided to sell picture frames, I noticed that most marketing targeted families. Instead, I envisioned marketing them towards travelers who wanted to preserve their destination photos. Understanding the nuances of my target audience allowed me to tailor my marketing messages effectively.

If you’re interested in diving deeper into audience building, I have other videos that elaborate on this subject. I encourage you to check them out for more insights on how to effectively reach and resonate with your audience.

Building Strong Social Media Presence

The next step involved creating robust social media profiles on both TikTok and Instagram. I made sure to consistently post high-quality content aligned with how customers typically make purchasing decisions. Importantly, I didn’t feel the need to invest in expensive camera equipment or professional photo shoots; I simply used my iPhone.

Quality Content Matters

For those of you who believe high-quality content demands significant investment, I’m here to tell you it doesn’t. Using my phone, I combined quality visuals with captivating hooks and effective captions, which contributed to my content going viral. This viral content significantly boosted my sales.

If you’re new to online marketing—whether selling digital products or physical ones—check out my digital marketing bundle. It offers resources that can help you succeed in the digital marketplace. The bundle includes content guides, tips on how to create viral content, and strategies based on marketing psychology, all designed to help you sell more effectively. Remember, no matter how great your product is, if you can’t market it properly, you won’t make sales.

The Product Model I Used

It’s worth noting that I was not selling a digital product during this phase; I was involved in dropshipping a physical product. While I generally don’t recommend dropshipping for TikTok Shop anymore, you can easily adapt the product strategy to use print-on-demand services. Stick around, as I’ll guide you through that process later on.

Now let’s move on to the two critical parts of my strategy that greatly contributed to my sales. One was a paid strategy, while the other was entirely free. First, I delved into influencer marketing. For those unfamiliar with this concept, influencer marketing involves collaborating with social media influencers who promote your product to their audiences.

Engaging Influencer Marketing

My approach started with scrolling through social media to identify influencers within my niche who had good engagement rates. Engagement is crucial; I didn’t want to waste my time on influencers who had a massive follower count but received little to no interaction on their posts.

Reaching Out to Influencers

Once I identified suitable influencers, I drafted emails to reach out to them. It’s essential to be strategic with your outreach. You can’t just contact five influencers and expect results; you need a broader approach. Quality content and a well-established social media presence are vital here. If an influencer visits your page and sees low-quality content, they won’t be inclined to promote your brand.

After the influencer responded, we would discuss rates, turnaround times, and any content requirements on my end. After finalizing the details and paying them, I would send out the product. Following that, they would create and share their content, leading to sales rolling in. If you’re interested, I can create a more in-depth video focusing solely on influencer marketing strategies.

Leveraging TikTok Shop Affiliates

Next, I utilized a free strategy that generated over $5,000 in sales with minimal effort. This involved collaborating with TikTok Shop affiliates. With this method, TikTok Shop creators promote your products and earn a commission on each sale they drive. You have the flexibility to determine the commission rate, making it adaptable to your budget.

Creating Collaborations

I started by creating collaborations on my TikTok Shop backend, offering samples of my product in exchange for promotions. When sample requests came in, I assessed each creator’s stats, including their engagement and following, to decide whether I wanted to approve them for collaboration.

Additionally, I scoured social media for TikTok Shop creators who showed impressive engagement on their posts. I reached out to them via direct messages or, preferably, their email, which I could find in their bio. Many of them responded positively, and I sent them samples of my products.

Going Viral with TikTok Promotions

Once the samples were sent, the creators promoted the products on their platforms. To my delight, their posts often went viral, leading to an influx of sales. Remember, while I was initially working with physical products, you can replicate this exact strategy using print-on-demand products.

Transitioning to Print-on-Demand

Once you select your print-on-demand product, you can follow the same steps I’ve outlined. As an added bonus, I included a print-on-demand guide in my digital marketing bundle. Since print-on-demand items are technically physical, they offer fully passive income because you never handle the products directly, don’t hold inventory, and don’t have to ship anything yourself.

Starting Your Print-on-Demand Journey

Let’s dive into the tutorial for TikTok Shop and print-on-demand. The first step is to create an account on your chosen print-on-demand platform. For this tutorial, I’ll use Printify because its integration with TikTok is seamless.

Setting Up Your Printify Account

Once you’ve created your account, navigate to the left panel and click on the “Catalog” option. Here, you’ll see a selection of products labeled “TikTok Ready.” This is crucial because TikTok Shop has strict shipping times, and your items must ship out within a specific timeframe—typically within two days—to maintain good standing on the platform.

Selecting Your Products

Scrolling through the available products makes it easy to find what you need. For example, if I want to create phone cases, I can click on that category. The overview provided will give insights into the materials used and the seller who will handle the production and design. You can start designing your phone case right there!

Designing Your Products

To create a design for your phone case, I recommend using a site like Canva. When designing, be sure to take note of the print area size. For example, you’ll want to input the exact dimensions into your Canva design. Start by going to “Create a Design” and selecting “Custom Size,” where you will enter the required dimensions.

Using AI for Design

If you want to get creative, you can even use AI tools to assist with your designs. For instance, you can use DALL-E by entering prompts to generate unique images. I offer a vault of over 10,000 AI image prompts in my stand store, which can help you customize images to fit your vision perfectly.

Uploading Your Designs

After generating your desired image, the next step is to resize it properly. Once resized, navigate to the “Share” option, select “Download,” and ensure you choose the PNG format with a transparent background. After downloading, you’ll return to Printify and upload your new design.

Ensuring Quality Control

When uploading, ensure that your design fits correctly within the specified dimensions. If it appears to be bleeding over the edges, you may need to resize it again. Center the image to your liking and check the preview to see how it will appear once printed.

Finalizing Your Product

Once satisfied, save your project. You’ll then choose a mockup for your product, giving it a realistic appearance in your store. Remember to title it, add a detailed description, and set your pricing. If your TikTok Shop isn’t integrated yet, save it as a draft for now.

Integrating TikTok Shop

Next, navigate back to your dashboard. If your shop hasn’t been integrated with Printify, there will be an option to connect. Click on the option that allows you to connect to platforms you have accounts on, and select TikTok Shop.

Connecting Your Accounts

You’ll be prompted to enter your store name and hit connect. If you don’t already have a TikTok shop account, you can create one directly from the Printify platform. Once signed up, you can return to the integration page and link your accounts seamlessly.

Syncing Products

After successfully connecting your accounts, you’ll be taken back to your Printify dashboard. Navigate to “Apps and Services” in the left panel to check your integrations. If you logged in correctly, you’d find that all your products will sync automatically with TikTok Shop, making the process much easier.

Creating Collaborations

To

maximize your reach, consider setting up collaborations with TikTok Shop creators. This approach has proved successful in boosting sales and creating a loyal customer base. Just as I did earlier, evaluate their engagement levels before sending out samples.

Tracking Your Sales

Once everything is set up, keep an eye on your sales. Regularly check your notifications to celebrate your achievements, just like I did when I heard those “kaching” sounds! Tracking your sales data can help you refine your strategies and determine which products resonate best with your audience.

Scaling Up Your Business

As your business grows, consider expanding your product range. This could include launching seasonal items or diversifying into complementary products that align with your initial offerings. The key is to remain flexible and responsive to market trends.

Recap of Key Strategies

To recap, here are the key strategies I used to achieve my success with TikTok Shop:

  1. Identified a trending product in an evergreen niche.
  2. Built a strong social media presence with quality content.
  3. Engaged in influencer marketing and leveraged TikTok Shop affiliates.
  4. Transitioned to a print-on-demand model for scalability.
