Introduction to ChatGPT Ethereum Trading Bot
Today, I’ll guide you through deploying a ChatGPT Ethereum Trading Bot that I developed using Solidity for the Ethereum blockchain. This bot is designed to help you earn passive income by exploiting Uniswap slippage trading on ERC20 tokens. The best part? It’s quite user-friendly and doesn’t require any coding skills.
The profitability of the bot is influenced by factors such as the congestion on the Ethereum network and the amount of Ethereum you invest. For a detailed setup, check the resources linked in this guide.
To get started, ensure you have the MetaMask browser extension installed and connected to the Ethereum mainnet. Next, head over to Remix, a platform for compiling and deploying smart contracts on Ethereum.
Setting Up the Bot
Accessing Remix
Go to Remix using the link provided in the resources section. Remix is an online tool that will help us compile and deploy our smart contract. Once you’re in Remix, navigate to the left sidebar. Create a new file in the contracts directory and name it SmartBot.sol
.
Adding the Bot Code
Copy the ChatGPT Ethereum Trading Bot code from the provided link and paste it into your new file. Pay particular attention to lines 48 and 49, which contain the addresses for Wrapped Ether tokens.
Open a new tab and verify these addresses on Etherscan to ensure they are official. This step is crucial for the bot’s functionality.
Compiling the Contract
Now, move to the Solidity compiler section in Remix. Since our bot is written in Solidity version 0.8.20, select this version from the compiler settings. Click the compile button and wait for a green checkmark to confirm that the code has compiled successfully.
With the code compiled, navigate to the “Deploy and Run Transactions” section. Choose “Injected Provider” as the environment and click the orange “Deploy” button to start the contract deployment process.
Deploying and Funding the Bot
Confirming Deployment
Confirm the gas fees in Remix and on MetaMask. It’s essential to keep a small amount of Ethereum in your wallet to cover these fees. Once the transaction is confirmed, our bot is successfully deployed.
You can verify the contract creation by copying the contract address and checking it on Etherscan.
Funding Your Contract
To fund the contract, copy the contract address again and open MetaMask. Double-check that you are pasting the correct address. I’m depositing 0.4 Ether, but you can choose any amount. Larger deposits generally lead to higher potential profits.
After the transaction is confirmed, refresh Etherscan to see that your deposit is reflected in the contract balance.
Activating and Monitoring the Bot
Starting the Bot
Return to Remix and click the “Start” button to activate the bot for trading in the mempool. Confirm the transaction and wait for it to be processed.
The bot will continue to run, and you can monitor its performance over time.
Reviewing Performance
After running the bot for around 48 hours, review its performance. In my experience, the bot accumulated over 0.76 Ether, which is a promising result. The bot will keep running until you decide to withdraw the funds.
Withdrawing Your Earnings
Accessing Bot Functions
To withdraw the profits, return to Remix. Recompile the bot’s code and select the injected provider in the deploy section. Enter the contract address and click the blue button to regain access to the bot’s functions.
Once you have access, click on the “Withdraw” function to transfer the earnings to your wallet.
Final Thoughts
The bot’s earnings are successfully deposited into your wallet. On some days, I’ve earned between 2 and 4 ethers, and occasionally even more. Your profits will vary based on Ethereum network congestion and your investment amount.
